Where to stay
If you wish to stay locally, we have negotiated a rate with the Crabwall Manor Hotel for 2015. Please mention the Samarind rate when booking. Crabwell Manor is a delightful hotel in a rural setting just 5 miles from our offices – a quick 10 minute taxi ride.
Alternatively the Village Urban Resort Chester St David’s (known locally as St David’s Park Hotel), part of the Village Hotels group, is a similar distance away, just inside north Wales. And for those wanting 5 star luxury why not try the Chester Grosvenor Hotel right in the middle of the beautiful city of Chester, 8 miles and 20 minutes from us.
Samarind’s offices are within easy reach of both Manchester and Liverpool airports.
Liverpool John Lennon Airport is smaller and closer – 26 miles, around 35 minutes by car. Liverpool Airport, with just one small terminal, serves Europe via airlines like EasyJet, Flybe, Ryanair and Czech Airlines.
The much larger Manchester International Airport is 35 miles but still about 35 minutes away. Manchester has 3 terminals that handle domestic, short haul and long haul flights from a much wider range of locations. Most of our clients fly into Manchester Airport.
Local places of interest include the historic Roman city of Chester, Liverpool – home to two football teams and the birthplace of the Beatles – and North Wales, containing the Snowdonia National Park and Snowdon, which at 1085 metres (3560 feet) is the highest mountain in England and Wales.
